1. Who We Are

Nako ("we", "us", "our") operates the nako.life website and booking platform. We are based in Ireland.

2. Data We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Firebase Authentication. We do not store your Google password.

Booking Data

When you make a booking, we collect the activity details, date, time, number of guests, and payment confirmation. Payment card details are processed directly by Stripe and never touch our servers.

Bucket List

Activities you save to your bucket list are stored in your account.

3. Cookies

We use one cookie:

  • __session — A session cookie set after you sign in, used to keep you authenticated. This cookie is essential for the login functionality to work. It expires when your session ends or after 14 days.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

4. Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. Plausible is GDPR compliant by design.

5. Third Parties

We share data with the following third-party services, only as necessary to provide our service:

  • Firebase (Google) — Authentication and database. Privacy info
  • Stripe — Payment processing. Privacy info
  • Plausible — Privacy-friendly analytics (no personal data). Privacy info

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Booking records are kept for 7 years for accounting and legal compliance. You can request deletion of your account at any time.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to:

  • Access — Request a copy of your personal data
  • Rectification — Correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure — Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Portability — Receive your data in a machine-readable format
  • Object — Object to processing of your data
  • Restrict — Request restricted processing

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure authentication via Firebase, and PCI-compliant payment processing via Stripe.
